Spoilers for Torchwood through Children of Earth. Spoilers for Sanctuary through early season 2.
Author's note: I wrote this last November for NaNoWriMo, and it did not have enough compelling plot to get me to 50,000 words (it's only 15,000ish). So I turned to other things during NaNo, and kind of forgot about this entirely, until I thought of it today, reread it, and found it far more enjoyable than I remembered.
I toyed with the idea of posting it, back and forth, with the main reason not to post being that I don't think there are that many readers for Sanctuary/Torchwood fusions out there, and even if there are, I don't know how on earth they would find my journal.
But then I decided that if someone else were holding back 15,000 words of Sanctuary/Torchwood fusion on their hard drive, I would be emphatically in favor of them posting it, so...
Summary: "Not here," Nikola told him, waving a lazy arm about the library. "This isn't an appropriate place for...that sort of thing."

Um, so I know I haven't posted in 24908230498324 years, but I love love love Cassidy sooooo much that I started writing this a couple months ago. I'm not sure that this is internally consistent, given that I kept learning more about Cassidy as I was writing, and I'm not sure I would even start this story now given what I know about him, but I figured I would post it anyway.
There are many terrible things about this snippet, including a surplus of plot that doesn't really deliver and a lack of sex. I am so sorry. I hope to someday write a fic that does Cassidy justice. :)
Summary: Brad was at the bottom of his list of people to call.

A month ago julad and I raced to see who could finish a Numb3rs flashfic on the same prompt first. Here's hers: Julad's Numb3rs fic. I won by wordcount but lost because I was lame and failed to edit and post my thing. However, since this month I am purging my writings without bothering to edit or anything, here's what I did.
Since I lost I owe her 500 words, which I have also written but not edited of course. Maybe I will post that tomorrow.
